Composer Spotlight: Steven Cravis

I'm excited to welcome 2023 alongside a great pianist and composer buddy, Steven Cravis.

I met Steven as a Cinematic Alpha client, and we subsequently became Facebook friends.

I had the privilege of collaborating with Steven on the development of my libraries, and he provided vital tips on how to make my goods working.

He also composed a lovely tune totally with SVBLIME EST (symphony library produced with synthesis).

Steven Cravis is a pianist, composer, recording artist and producer of both acoustic piano solos, orchestral and multi-track synthesizer music. His style is a meditative fusion of Classical, Jazz and Ambient. His style is simple and childlike yet mixed with a mature ability to convey a profound sense of heartfelt emotion, like beams of light that pull at the listener’s heartstrings.

Steven says:

“The most significant thing that could happen with my music on a broad scale is for it to help people feel whole, reduce stress and contribute to peace.”

This heartfelt wish from Cravis is made from the same love and respect for the human spirit that permeates his musical works.

Influenced by Sting, George Winston, Hans Zimmer and Andreas Vollenweider. His works have been heard in the award winning QUELL app, Animal Planet, CBS, CNN, NBC, Matchroom Sport (UK) and more.

I had the pleasure of listening to some of Steven's songs, and I must admit that there is a lot of imagination in composition.

Melodies articulate, colorful and well placed in terms of arrangements and "musical meaning".

A song that I really liked is "Opening, A Rose Revealed", performed by Steven.
